Lisa Zadravec has been running Art Camps in the area for two decades. Her American Girl camps are
always a favorite. She believes that “If taught correctly, an artist is a person who can do anything." Whatever
field a person chooses, the training of creative problem solving; actually seeing differently; assessing and
carrying through a project to completion, are invaluable life skills. Trained in traditional methods at the
Corcoran School of Art, but always innovative in her approach, Lisa agrees with the former Harvard president
who said “I have a conviction that a few weeks spent in a well-organized summer camp may be of more value
educationally than a whole year of formal school work.” Lisa is respected for her teaching, her artwork, she
co-founded a school of the arts and has taught in many venues in Northern VA and was a program director for
a large international girls summer camp in upstate New York.
LAST SUMMER Lisa was once again given the wonderful opportunity last summer to teach at Camp
Jeanne d'Arc in the Adirondack High Peaks area of upstate New York!!! (pictured below) Do you want to
travel further than Virginia for camp? Have you ever wanted to be a counselor? Summer Art Camps with Lisa
have been around for over a decade and are a Summertime favorite with returning young artists. In recent
years, Lisa was given the wonderful opportunity to direct the Art programs and then to be program director
at Camp Jeanne d'Arc in the Adirondack Mountains of New York state. To learn more about "a place only we
know", Camp Jeanne d'Arc visit www.campjeannedarc.com ...get yor camp DVD and register your daughter (or
